Dee and Ricky Accessories
Twin brothers Dee & Ricky started their creative life pulling together an accessories line ‘Dee and Ricky’, designed using Lego bricks.
Their accessories comprise of bow ties, brooches and belt buckles hand made with an array of colorful shiny Lego bricks. The stylish Lego duo, started creating these masterpieces from their kitchen table in Staten island, NY.
What started off as a fun hobbie for the twins turned a bit more serious in the summer of 2007 while the two were attending a party in the Hamptons. They were spotted by international superstar stylist Jason Preston, wearing a Gucci belt they had customized for themselves. Preston was so impressed he set up a meeting for the twins with Marc Jacobs’ team. Dee and Ricky were given the opportunity to go on and design a full range of Lego accessories for the Marc by Marc Jacobs spring ’08 runway show. The collaboration propelled them even further into the public eye and since then the rest has been history.
Their signature accessorizes and heart-shaped brooches are sold all over the world and have been worn by the likes of Kanye West, Beyonce, Nigo Murakami and MIA. Furthermore they have moved on to collaborate with a number of other people and also have added other accessories which are now sold online and at the BBC / Ice Cream store in NYC.
One of our favorite creations from the twins are these Chanel Lipsticks Brooches.. oh and their PONY M100’s which come out in September.
